Difference between traditional and RolliT treated surfaces

Normaly a horisontal concrete slab will be best compacted in the bottom. This is because the weight of overlying material presses the  bottom concrete harder. The strength of the concrete slab will thereby vary.  Unfortunately it is the top of the slab that is of greatest importance for the final outcome beacuse this is the part that will be affected by various external strains caused by the surrounding environment. Today unwanted cracks are common. It is dangerous for the reinforcement because it gets easier reached by chloride solutions. Most standards are based on crack-free concrete. That means that the right quality is not achieved if cracks are present  when it comes to the resistance to e.g. corrosion of reinforcement. By compacting the concrete surface from the top in an early state with RolliT you get both a more sustainable product and a better looking finisch. Simple and smart!

The quay at Stocksund is another example of a totaly crackless surface that has been formed by our method. A crack free surface means that the salt water has a harder time reaching the steel reinforcements and the jetty will there for last much longer since corrosion will partially stoped. This jetty has been free of cracks for a stunning 10 years.
